Tibetan learning Chest

With the project “Tibetan Learning Chest” the Foundation aims to familiarise Dutch primary school children with this unique land, her culture and inhabitants and it hopes to broaden its basis for its main aim “to help the Tibetans remain Tibetan”. The Foundation has put together a work book with an accompanying learning chest for year groups 7 and 8 of primary schools. The Learning Chest has been tested to great success in many primary schools all over the Netherlands.

Aim
To acquaint Dutch children in year groups 7 and 8 of primary schools with the unique land of Tibet, its culture and special position of the Tibetans and their leader, the Dalai Lama. Any funds raised by the use of the Learning Chest will go towards educational projects in support of the Tibetan children.

Usage of the Learning Chest
Teaching staff can choose between a learning cycle of 5-6 weeks and a concentrated teaching cycle of 1-2 weeks, followed by for instance a musical performed by the children.
