Central Bureau for Fundraising: Seal of Approval

The Foundation has had the seal of approval from the Central Bureau for Fundraising in the Netherlands (CBF) since 2002-2006. As from teh year 2007 the Foundation is no longer entitled to the seal 'Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar' since its income is above the maximum of Euro 120.000.

The Foundation has started a consultation round among its sponsors and its Board of Recommendation. Upon the outcome of this consultation SHAT will decide about an application for a Seal of Approval, called Keurmerk.

Till then there will be no seal of approval.

Considerations, which play a role, are:
- The seal was established to show sponsors that their gifts are donated to a trustworthy and independently audited Foundation. Current sponsors of the Foundations will be aware of its methods of work and its reporting mechanisms. However, in order to attract new supporters the seal of approval may be of use to confirm the level of trust.
- In addition established organisations with a CBF seal of approval may undertake actions in which only approved organisations may participate.
- The costs are considerably higher, Euro 1.200 on avergae per annum.
- The administrative pressure will be much higher.
